Square 6 – A simple designed milling cutter that gives you –
- Low cost per part
- Low cost per cutting edge
- True 90 degree walls
- High quality surface finish
- Tool flexibility
Square 6 has 6 cutting edges, thus offering you the economy of low cost per cutting edge. The axial rake in the pocket seat is negative, but the positive cutting edge on the insert makes the cutting angle positive, so high performance is ensured. Invest in Square 6 and sharpen your competitive edge. Six times!
Turning – Seco’s range includes the latest technology in turning inserts, threading, parting, grooving, multi directional turning that includes cermet and CBN for machining of hardened steels and difficult to machine cast irons.
Duratomic – Durable + Atomic = Duratomic
The first coating that has been manipulated on an atomic level. The basic structure is aluminium oxide, as it represents a very good starting point for machining steel, but the coating’s overall ductility has also been significantly enhanced. The cumulative result is improved mechanical and thermal properties together with altered toughness, far beyond the capabilities of any existing grade on the market.
Milling chucks –
ER collet chucks have become the norm for the vast majority of CNC machining centres, just as Clarkson threaded shank cutters and holders were the norm for machines for many years before CNC machines.
Seco have realized this and along with many other holding tools for machining centres have redesigned the ER collet system so you can now be assured of cutters running true max 10 microns 3xd from the nut face when used in Seco’s range of 5675 series chucks and running solid carbide cutters.
Seco Technical Education Programme – STEP is a well developed and practical programme designed to familiarize users with the latest tooling systems and metal cutting techniques. STEP enables companies to combat the “technology gap” and achieve maximum machining productivity. STEP is designed to keep our customers in touch with a rapidly changing industry. Without an in-depth understanding of the new technologies in the market, many customers find decision making process more and more difficult as the range of tooling systems expand.
